2018 State of the Union Community Meeting

Calling All Neighbors!

When: Tuesday, January 30th
Time: 7-8PM

Last year at this time, Colonies House reached out to the community with an urgent plea: the organization was in serious decline and facing imminent closure.

Multiple issues including significant financial crises and outstanding repairs had Colonies House on the ropes, so to speak, with a warning issued that the property may be returned to the developer and demolished, paving the way for any variety of uses.

An entirely new board of directors formed and worked quickly to assess both financial and facilities issues and most urgently, take action.

The new board delivered results including, but not limited, to gains in financial recovery, pool restoration, increased hall rental, as well as revitalizing the Colonies House brand and reputation. These results reflect the board’s work but also the unlocked potential of Colonies House given active support and engagement within our community.

2017 was transformative and eventful for Colonies House, but in spite of all the progress, Colonies House is still in a recovery state. In order to be truly successful and sustainable, we must maximize community engagement. Simply put, we still need your support.

Please join us Tuesday, January 30th from 7-8 pm for a brief discussion of how to build on 2017’s success, how this impacts community homeowners, and how YOU can make 2018 an even better year.

Kind Regards,
Colonies House Board of Directors
